Clams is the way to go if your hitting the surf for the bait and waiters. A few bass are being picked up for those moving with artificials. Yo Zuris and SP Minnows are working. Blackfish at the canal are hitting green crabs. There are still bass in the Toms River. Bloodworms is the ticket. We have fresh shucked and salted clams, fresh bunker, bloodworms and green crabs. For the freshwater fisherman we have meal worms, garden worms, baby nightcrawlers, night crawlers and killies.
