Bass, blues and a few black drum off the surf the last couple of days. Clams, bunker and mullet remains the baits of choice. Fluke starting to show off the local beaches hitting bucktails tipped with Gulp and a teaser in front. The fluke bite is picking up in the back bay near the inlet for the boat fisherman. The river and bridge is still producing mostly short bass at dusk, after dark and early morning.

Blues is the news off the surf. Clams, bunker and mullet are the baits of choice. Artificials are working for those moving. John Pizzuto fishing by the canal picked up blues in the 2-5 pound range yesterday in his boat. Bass hitting bloods in the Toms River before and after dark. Crabbing remains a little slow.
Gator blues with bass mixed in up and down the local beaches yesterday and also this morning. Bunker, clams and mullet is working for the bait and waiters. Blues hitting poppers, SP Minnows and metal. Blues hitting poppers behind IBSP for a few boats and kayaks. Bass and blues in the Toms river. We just got in more bloods, chowder clams in the shell, fresh bunker, salted clams and all the frozen baits needed to help you enjoy your day.
Bass off the surf yesterday hitting clams. Blues off the local beaches this morning hitting bunker chunks and mullet for the bait fisherman. Poppers, SP Minnows and metals worked for those moving. A few keeper fluke were reported from guys fishing the BB and BI bouy area. Blues roaming the back bay and the Toms River and there are still bass around. Heard of a few weakfish as well. Fresh bunker and chowder clams in the shell just came in as well as more salted clams.
